Networked Ambient Pressure Sensor
The Networked Ambient Pressure Sensor from Fidar Electronics measures absolute ambient air pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa. It runs standalone on its own IP address with a built-in web page.
300–1100 hPa measuring range
For weather data, altitude and site conditions
Stable readings for long-term pressure trending
Own IP address and built-in web page
Powered by PoE or a 48 V adapter
DHCP or a static IP address
SNMP monitoring in PRTG and SolarWinds
Alerts by email, internal relay and external siren
A barometric pressure sensor measures absolute atmospheric pressure across 300–1100 hPa. Its trend is the basis of short-term weather forecasting — a fast drop means an approaching front — and alongside temperature and humidity it completes the picture of a site's conditions. The same value is used to estimate altitude and to correct a reference pressure in process calculations. Note that it measures absolute air pressure, not fluid pressure inside a pipe nor the differential between two spaces.
