Networked Type-K Thermocouple Sensor
The Networked Type-K Thermocouple Sensor from Fidar Electronics measures high temperature with a Type-K thermocouple and automatic cold-junction compensation. It runs standalone on its own IP address with a built-in web page.
Type-K thermocouple input for high temperatures
Automatic cold-junction compensation
Fast thermal response for steep processes
Own IP address and built-in web page
Powered by PoE or a 48 V adapter
DHCP or a static IP address
SNMP monitoring in PRTG and SolarWinds
Alerts by email, internal relay and external siren
A Type-K thermocouple is a junction of two dissimilar metals that turns a temperature difference straight into a voltage. Its appeal is a very wide range, a fast response and tolerance of brutal conditions — which is why furnaces, burners and boilers use one where a PT100 would not survive. This sensor reads the thermocouple voltage and applies cold-junction compensation to recover the real process temperature.

Installation
Observe probe and compensating-cable polarity, and keep the tip out of direct flame radiation so the reading follows the process, not the fire.
