- Water-leak and door-access alarms
- SMS and email alerts when a threshold is crossed
- Operator training and recorded history for incident reviews
About this project
Fidar Electronics designed and commissioned a FIDAQUIRE environmental monitoring system for the server room at Fanava Network.
The installation watches temperature, humidity, power, water leak and physical access around the clock, and sends SMS and email alarms the moment a threshold is crossed.
Scope of work
- Site survey of the room and identification of thermal and electrical risk points
- Installation of ambient and point temperature/humidity sensors, water-leak detectors, door contacts and dry-contact inputs
- Commissioning of the FIDAQUIRE logger, alarm routing and operator training
Outcome
IT staff now have a live picture of the room and a recorded history they can use in incident reviews. Unplanned downtime caused by heat, humidity or power events is substantially reduced.
