Wireless Ambient Pressure Sensor
The Wireless Ambient Pressure Sensor from Fidar Electronics measures absolute ambient air pressure from 300 to 1100 hPa. It links over a LoRa radio with no cabling at all.
300–1100 hPa measuring range
For weather data, altitude and site conditions
Stable readings for long-term pressure trending
LoRa radio link up to 1 km line of sight
AES-128 encrypted payloads
Pairs with the FWL1600-01 LoRa card
No cabling; pairing takes seconds
Low-battery warning per node
A barometric pressure sensor measures absolute atmospheric pressure across 300–1100 hPa. Its trend is the basis of short-term weather forecasting — a fast drop means an approaching front — and alongside temperature and humidity it completes the picture of a site's conditions. The same value is used to estimate altitude and to correct a reference pressure in process calculations. Note that it measures absolute air pressure, not fluid pressure inside a pipe nor the differential between two spaces.
