FTR0100-01
PT100 Temperature Sensor
The PT100 Temperature Sensor from Fidar Electronics measures temperature from −50 to 250 °C with a 3-wire platinum element. It connects to a FIDAQUIRE data logger over a daisy-chained CANopen bus.
−50 to 250 °C measuring range
Platinum element with high accuracy and long-term stability
3-wire hook-up compensates for lead resistance
RJ45 output on a CANopen bus
Daisy-chains up to 64 sensors per card
Works with the FBC0232-01 card and FIDAQUIRE logger
Up to 500 m of bus at 125 kbit/s
Power and data share one cable
A PT100 is a resistance thermometer with a platinum element reading 100 Ω at 0 °C. Platinum's resistance-versus-temperature curve is unusually linear, repeatable, and near-unchanged over years, which is why PT100 is the de facto standard wherever accuracy and long-term stability decide the process — pharmaceuticals, food, oil and gas. The 3-wire connection compensates for lead resistance, so the probe can sit far from the device and right at the process point without the cable length turning into a temperature error.

Where it is used
Process temperature in oil, gas and petrochemicals
Production and storage temperature in pharma and food
Boilers, heat exchangers and turbines in power plants
Furnaces and heat-treatment lines
Cold stores and clean rooms that need calibration records
Oil and bearing temperature on rotating equipment
Installation
Give the probe solid thermal contact with the measuring point and route its cable away from power runs — a resistive signal picks up noise easily.
