Notes on this configuration
- This combination was worked out from the product specifications and is not yet a packaged system — please have an engineer confirm it before ordering.
- This unit also takes 5 I/O cards at 8 channels each; if you would rather wire straight into the chassis, an engineer can quote the card-based build.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does battery room temperature matter?
- Lead-acid battery life is very sensitive to temperature, and sustained heat shortens it considerably. Two points in the room show both the trend and the spread between locations.
- Does it assess individual cell health?
- No. This package monitors voltage and current at bank level, not per-cell impedance. Cell-level monitoring needs dedicated BMS equipment.
- Does it work on a solar installation?
- Yes. The same DC voltage and current sensors are used to monitor the battery bank and charge controller output in a solar system.
