System configurator
Build your monitoring system
Tell us what to measure, at how many points, and how the data should get back. What comes out is a parts list with quantities — not a product listing.
Where will the system be installed?
Sets the starting point and goes into the quote. Skip it if unsure.
Ready-made packages
These eight packages are produced by the same engine the wizard uses. If one is close to your site, start there.
Cold storage temperature monitoring package
Eight temperature points in a cold store, logged continuously, with SMS alerts on excursion and remote access.
8 points · 9 itemsServer room monitoring package
Temperature, humidity and water leak detection for a server room, over the network you already have.
6 points · 7 itemsSmart powerhouse (boiler room) package
Flow and return temperature control, pump and burner switching over relays, and SMS alerts.
6 points · 10 itemsGreenhouse monitoring and control package
Ten temperature and humidity points over LoRa — no cabling down the house — with fan control and SMS alerts.
10 points · 14 itemsPharmaceutical warehouse and cold chain package
Twelve temperature and humidity points, logged continuously with an exportable history — for pharma warehouses, pharmacies and blood banks.
12 points · 14 itemsSwitchgear and substation monitoring package
Feeder currents, breaker states over dry contacts, and three-phase presence — on one unit, with SMS alerts.
17 points · 8 itemsPoultry house monitoring and control package
Eight temperature and humidity points down the house, with fan and heater control and immediate SMS alerts.
8 points · 11 itemsBattery room and UPS monitoring package
Battery bank voltage and current alongside room temperature — to see a bank degrading before it becomes an outage.
10 points · 9 items
What the wizard asks
Five questions, in the order an engineer asks them when scoping a job.
- 01
Where will the system be installed?
Sets the starting point and goes into the quote. Skip it if unsure.
- 02
What has to be measured or watched?
Pick as many as you need.
- 03
How should readings reach the central unit?
Choose between cabling, a LoRa radio, and the network you already have.
- 04
How many points per quantity?
Point count decides sensor quantity and how much central capacity you need.
- 05
What should the system do with the data?
Pick as many as you need.
Quantities covered
Temperature
Cold storage, kilns, server rooms, warehouses
Humidity
Shares a probe with temperature
Pressure
Compressed air, pipelines, filters
Water leak
Server-room floors, under chillers, plant rooms
Dust
Cleanrooms, production lines, mines
Shock & vibration
Motors, pumps, freight
AC current
Motor draw, panel feeders
DC current
Battery rooms, solar, UPS
AC voltage level
Reads the value, not just presence
DC voltage level
Battery and charger voltage
Analog input 4-20 mA
When you already own the transmitter and need an input
Analog input 0-10 V
Same as above, for a voltage-output transmitter
Dry contact
On/off, door open, equipment fault
AC voltage presence
Phase loss, feeder state
DC voltage presence
DC supply loss, charger state
This page works over 76 published Fidar products.
Ways to connect
Wired CANopen
Cabling is possible, up to a few hundred metres. Cheapest and most reliable.
Wireless LoRa
Cabling is impractical or the points are scattered. Needs a gateway.
Networked (Ethernet)
LAN already reaches the sensor. Suits server rooms and offices.
What the system does
- Live status only — Local display and built-in web page
- Platform SMS — The alert goes out through the platform. No extra hardware.
- GSM SMS — Adds the FWN0260-01 dual-SIM modem.
- Control output — Switches fans, pumps and heaters over relays
- Logging & reports — History for audits and analysis
- Remote access — Mobile app and cloud panel
Frequently asked questions
- How does the tool work out the quantities?
- From the point counts you enter and the channel count of each product. Ten dry-contact points are covered by three 3-channel detectors and one single, not four 3-channel units. Central unit capacity and gateway node counts come from the datasheets the same way.
- Are prices shown?
- No. These products are priced per project, against quantity, site and installation conditions. What this page produces is an exact parts list, so that your enquiry is specific.
- How much can the recommendation be relied on?
- Every package is labelled. If the combination is one Fidar already installs as a packaged system, the page says so. If it was worked out from the specifications, the page says that too and asks for an engineer's confirmation before you order.
- What if cabling is not possible?
- Choose the LoRa wireless option. Wireless sensors and a gateway sized to the node count are then added: FWL1600-01 covers up to sixteen nodes.
Your combination is not here?
Fidar's catalogue is larger than any wizard can ask about. Send us your requirement and an engineer will settle the configuration with you.
