Fish farming pool monitoring
Monitors water temperature, pool level, pump and aerator operation in fish farms, stopping the losses caused by oxygen depletion and halted circulation.

Why this monitoring is needed
In a fish pond the gap between a failure and mortality is measured in hours, not days. If an aerator stops at midnight, dissolved oxygen reaches a critical level within a few hours and you meet a dead pond in the morning. No inspection round covers that window.
Water temperature acts directly on fish metabolism and oxygen demand: warmer water holds less oxygen and the fish need more of it. The most dangerous night of the year is the hottest — the same night the equipment is under most strain.
What gets measured
Pond water temperature
A PT100 in a sheath in the water; water temperature drives both oxygen demand and the feeding schedule.
Dissolved oxygen
A 4–20 mA dissolved-oxygen probe delivers the pond's single most critical variable.
Pond water level
Falling level means a leak or an interrupted inflow; in a concrete pond it can also signal a crack.
Aerator and pump operation
Motor current is the only reliable proof the aerator is turning rather than merely energised.
Farm power and generator
A power cut on a fish farm is a first-priority alarm and must be reported independently of the network.

View product ←Alarm and automation rules
- 1
Dissolved oxygen below the first threshold: auxiliary aerator started. Below the second: siren and immediate SMS.
- 2
Aerator current lost overnight: top-priority alarm, no delay and no averaging.
- 3
Water temperature above the seasonal threshold: aeration time increased automatically as oxygen demand rises.
- 4
Water level falling faster than expected evaporation: leak or inflow-failure alarm.
- 5
Farm power loss: critical GSM alarm and the backup path brought up.
What the operator gets
Overnight mortality from a stopped aerator is effectively eliminated.
Feeding follows real water temperature, improving the feed conversion ratio.
Aerator power drops once they run on measured oxygen rather than a timer.
Frequently asked questions
Do you provide the dissolved-oxygen probe?
The DO probe comes from a specialist supplier with a 4–20 mA output. Fidar's system reads it, logs it, turns it into multi-stage alarms and files it beside water temperature and aerator status — which is exactly the combination that makes the right decision possible.
Our ponds are spread out and cabling is difficult.
The LoRa wireless models reach up to 1 km line of sight with the FWL1600-01 receiver card; on a large farm with scattered ponds that removes the cabling cost and allows the system to grow pond by pond.
